Wherever she is, she’ll need help getting the laptop in front of her. The laptop goes on the hospital table, and the lap desk goes in her lap. Wireless keyboard and mouse go on the lap desk. More info here.
Depending on her motor abilities, she may need the person with her to take control of the mouse and keyboard. In that case, you can move them to wherever is convenient.
